MLB Network analyst, and NC State Baseball Hall of Famer, Dan Plesac has been proudly repping the Wolfpack lately. He was the color commentator for the MLB Futures Game broadcast which featured Trea Turner. Turner had a great day at the plate going 2-2 with an RBI double and the impressive stand-up triple shown in the video above. Pleasac was not shy about his love of Turner and NC State.
How about have a day Trea Turner! The pride and joy of NC State University! The Wolfpack!
Turner made his MLB debut today for the Washington Nationals. Congrats Trea! Make Wolfpack Nation proud.
Plesac was also very glowing in his love for Carlos Rodon’s spectacular outing on August 11th as seen in the video above. Rodon went 7 innings allowing 4 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, and 11 strikeouts. Rodon has had a very up-and-down year, but his future still looks very bright for the Chicago White Sox. To take that next step and become an ace he just needs to improve on his command and get more consistency out of his 3rd pitch.
Carlos Rodon. Pride and joy of NC State University!
Not to pat myself on the back or anything, but I have both of these guys on my fantasy baseball team in my 15 team deep mixed keeper league with minor league rosters. I drafted Rodon last year while he was still pitching for the Wolfpack. I drafted Turner this year, before his stock blew up in the first half of the season. I’m proud to own these two Wolfpack Baseball Legends. Soon they will join Dan Plesac in the NC State Baseball Hall of Fame. In the meantime, hopefully they can lead my team to many fantasy baseball championships.
